The project involves constructing a rooftop solar PV plant on the TRIBECA MALL commercial complex in Mauritius. The mall’s roof is primarily a concrete structure, and the installation is designed to avoid any damage to the existing waterproofing.
Concrete ballast blocks will be used as foundations for the PV modules, which will be mounted on support racks and securely anchored to the concrete bases.
The first phase of the project has a capacity of approximately 2 MW. Based on standard 620 W JA Solar modules and considering average solar irradiance, the PV plant is estimated to operate for 1,650 full-load hours per year.
The projected electricity generation over 25 years is as follows:
Average annual generation: 3.3 million kWh
Total 25-year generation: 82.5 million kWh
