The SM Tianjin Binhai City Plaza rooftop solar PV project, the largest commercial complex solar installation in Asia, has successfully commenced operation. Covering 47,000 m² with 28,000 m² of solar panels (9,675 modules), the system is designed to maximize self-consumption while feeding surplus electricity to the grid.
With an annual electricity generation exceeding 6 million kWh and a total output of 165 million kWh over 25 years, this project demonstrates large-scale commercial rooftop solar deployment and delivers significant economic and environmental benefits.
